Expert English and maths tutoring
Lexify Tuition based in Rugby is able to offer children personalised English and maths tutoring across the primary curriculum. This can be delivered as 1:1, 1:2 at our premises or virtually.
Covid has left many children struggling with both their academic work in the classroom and with their self-confidence.
Other children may just need more time to assimilate information or need to be offered alternative ways of learning and the time to ask questions that a busy classroom can’t always accommodate.
We have discovered that giving children this extra time to talk to a tutor, work at their own pace and ask questions as they build a relationship with their tutor, allows their confidence and self-belief to grow steadily.

Tutors will liaise closely with parents or carers to work on initial targets. We offer an initial free telephone conversation with you to discuss your child’s needs.
Your child can then enjoy the space and time to learn at their own pace and in their own way whilst gradually building trust in their tutor.
A strong channel of communication will be kept open with your child’s teacher(s) so that any information regarding their learning which would help in the classroom or with their personal tutor can be shared and used to further your child’s progress.
Progress is regularly monitored to ensure your child’s needs are always met and regular reports will be sent home reflecting this.
Specialist Dyslexia Teaching
Lexify Tuition provides specialist dyslexia teaching in Rugby, Coventry and surrounding areas. We offer informal assessments to gauge the level and type of intervention needed for those with literacy difficulties and suspected dyslexia. If your child has received a formal diagnosis, we would also use that report as a basis for our programme.
The results of these assessments will inform a personalised weekly programme for your child. Our programme consists of lots of multi-sensory overlearning with varied tasks to maintain focus and interest and embed learning.
Depending on the age of the child, we also offer study skills and other higher level study support.
How it works
We advise one hour a week, either on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis. The sessions would ideally be held personally at our premises but could also be conducted virtually.
We would also liaise regularly with your child’s teacher to give advice or suggest changes in the classroom which may affect their learning. This regular communication also allows your child’s teacher to keep us up to date with any parts of their learning that is relevant to give an all over joined-up approach.
Your child’s progress will be regularly monitored to ensure the programme continues to meet their individual needs. Regular reports will also be sent to you and their school if desired.
